Jose Chong

“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed” - Theodore Roosevelt Jose has been captivated by structural systems since he was a kid, dreaming of becoming an engineer one day. This passion led him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Structural Analysis and Design from the University of Houston Downtown, where he graduated Cum Laude. Growing up in Houston exposed him to a diverse array of buildings and houses, further fueling his desire to enter the structural engineering field. Before joining Insight Structures, Jose was involved in building some of the world’s largest enclosed 3D printers, getting hands-on with every component from the ground up. It was during this time that he truly discovered his love for building mechanical systems. Now he applies this knowledge as an Engineer in Training where he strives to learn as much as he can.
