"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe." - Abraham Lincoln
Jes’s diverse background in the design and construction industry began in 1988, when she graduated cum laude from the University of Houston’s School of Architecture. She quickly joined a local design-build firm, where she gained first-hand experience and then later with a local structural engineering firm. She also became aware of the limitations of each discipline and of the need for a consultant that could address both fields. Jes acquired a better understanding of the impact of design decisions and their immediate correlation to the development of the structural design, the schedule, the budget, and the project, as a whole. Bringing 34 years of experience in project management and construction administration, from inception to building close-out, she continued to work with clients, architects, and builders in the successful design and construction of thoughtful, well-made buildings.
As a side passion and outlet for creativity, Jes has been developing her ceramic skills and interests for several years. She is currently serving on the Board of ClayHouston, bridging clay and community, to promote accessibility and connection.
