“IT'S ALWAYS THE SIMPLE THINGS, WELL EXECUTED, THAT ARE MEMORABLE.” — STEPHANIE DANLER
Emily graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor degree in Architectural Engineering. During her first job as a Structural Engineer in Austin, she learned to put engineering fundamentals into practice, and realized the gratification that comes with designing for structural soundness in accordance with a pleasing aesthetic. Emily then moved to Seattle, where she worked for close to four years learning about seismic and wind design, as well as working with a variety of existing residential structures. She has now returned to Texas and continues her engineering career with INSIGHT Structures. She most enjoys the diversity of challenges involved in designing and detailing unique, small-scale structures. In her personal time, she can be found taking long walks and bike rides in the neighborhood, playing tennis, or spending time with family (including her cat).
